Do you take walk-ins?

Walk- ins are always welcome! They are accepted on a first come, first served basis. Our shop minimum is $60.00 and prices work their way up from there. Pieces that cannot be completed in one sitting and need multiple sessions are priced by the hour and will require a deposit and appointment.

How much will it cost/Can I get a price quote via phone or email?

The price of your tattoo will depend on many factors. This includes the location on your body to be tattooed, the size of the piece and the detail involved. For this reason, we are unable to give price estimates over the phone or through email. If your tattoo can be completed in one sitting, you will be given a quote once you meet with the artist and go over the details of what you want. If your tattoo will require multiple sittings, you will be charged by the hour. Please see our section on appointments/deposits for more information on multiple-sitting pieces.

Appointment/Custom Art Policy

It is our policy to collect a deposit when booking an appointment.  Deposits must be paid in cash, and no appointment may be set without one. If you would like to set up an appointment, please stop by the shop with any reference material you may have.

Your deposit amount will vary depending on the work you are getting done.
$60 Deposit– pieces that can be completed in one sitting
$100 Deposit – rib panels, arm/leg half sleeve, chest panels
$200 Deposit – full arm/leg sleeve
$400 Deposit – back pieces or anything larger
**All deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE**

Deposits are applied to the price of the tattoo and will be deducted on the LAST sitting on the last hour of the tattoo session. Our hourly rate is $150.00 an hour. For clients who are traveling, please call the shop for more information on deposits.
Clients who do not give the proper 48 hours notice of rescheduling will forfeit the entire deposit and must make another deposit in order to set up any more time with an artist. If you cancel your appointment and do not reschedule at all, you will forfeit your deposit.

What payment options do you accept?

CASH is always preferred at American Classic Tattoo. We even have an ATM conveniently located in our lobby. However, we will accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and Debit Cards.

Does it hurt?

Yes it hurts. But, there are lots of people walking around with tattoos so it’s generally not thought of as unbearable. There are many sensations used to describe it depending on each person and what area is being worked on. Some people even like it!

Can I bring my own picture or drawing for my tattoo?

Yes. This tattoo will be on you permanently so we want to be sure you are totally happy. Bring reference materials you think might help to capture exactly what you’re looking for. We also have plenty of reference books available for ideas.

I have a tattoo that's really bad, can it be fixed? Can you do a cover up?

Many tattoos, even REALLY bad ones, can be reworked or entirely covered up. We are always honest though. If we don’t think it can be successfully covered with the image you’d like, we will let you know and work with you on what options you do have so you will ultimately be happy. Do you do piercings?

We do not do piercings. We also do not sell any jewelry or piercing related items. Sorry for any inconvenience.
